At present, there are 3 ways to travel to Mandwa Jetty near Hotel and reach Outpost Alibaug.
a) Catamaran ( see details below. )( 4 times per day)
b) RORO ferry by
M2M Ferries - can also take cars with the people - from BhauCha Dhakka at Sandhurst Road. ( 4 times per day)
c)
Nayanthara Boat from Domestic Cruise Terminal - for passengers only - from BhauCha Dhakka at Sandhurst Road. - (3 times per day)
Catmaran( a type of fast boat that take about 250 passengers) is the cheapest way to travel to Mandwa Jetty .
Cheaper boat Services are available from Gateway Of India - Apollo Under Opposite Taj Mahal Hotel.
Port facilities at Mumbai ( Gateway Of India) and Alibaug (Mandwa Jetty) are serviced by several Launches and Boats( Catmarans) .
At present the Maldar catmaran service from Gateway is the fastest.
Online booking is not available . You need to visit the Boat booking counters at Gateway of India ( In front of Taj Mahal Hotel ) to book the tickets. Tickets cost between 100 and 200 per person per way , depending on boat operator, class ( ac/non-ac) and time of the day.
These services operate from October to May , depending on the weather conditions.
Travel time by the fastest boat is 35 minutes from Gateway jetty to Mandwa jetty. Average time is 45 minutes.
There is a boat almost every 30 minutes from either jetty between 9 am and 6 pm. Last boat from Mandwa to Mumbai leaves at 6 pm.

From Mandwa Jetty , Book a local taxi to reach Outpost in 30 Minutes. You can also book a hotel car pickup in advance, subject to availability and this is charged at Rs 1500 per way.
